Faster and better rail traffic on the Ems-Achse

The railway conference on ‘the future of rail transport on the Ems-Achse’ will be held on 3 April 2025 in Nordhorn. How can we make rail traffic between the northern Netherlands and north-west Germany faster, more sustainable and better? That question is the focus of the railway conference in Nordhorn.

Experts and policymakers from both countries discuss plans for better connections, including the Wunderline.

Faster trains, shorter journey times and better connections are important. For passengers and for the region's economy. Sustainability also plays a big role: more train traffic means fewer cars and less CO2 emissions.

The conference makes it clear: cross-border rail travel is the future. The Netherlands and Germany are working together to make rail travel faster, easier and greener.

3 April 2025, from 9.30 am to 2 pm at the NINO-Hochbau in Nordhorn. Program and register online via:  www.emsachse.de/veranstaltungen
